BUILDING CONSENTS
Your business will need a building consent for any addition and alterations involving structural or drainage work. Any building work that has been completed without a consent can be retrospectively permitted with a Certificate of Acceptance application.
RESOURCE CONSENTS
Under the Resource Management Act a consent must by applied for if you change the business activity from warehousing to manufacturing for example. Industrial Trade Process consents are required for discharge to air or storm-water, and usually involve developing an Environmental Management Plan.
